BIO
Her work is a form of research. She explores the frameworks and principles that govern our world in interchangeable, syndisciplinary ways.
Mckenzie’s work stretches across mediums including fine art, film, illustration, and designing experiences in education and leadership. Responding to the critical need for reflective arts skills in academia and social systems, Mckenzie enjoys the contemporary challenge of applying design thinking towards unifying historically compartmentalized disciplines.
Mckenzie has taught and developed curriculum for the arts and design at the high school level and has a passion to see education recalibrated to embrace a more holistic view of learning at the intersection of design and subject specific curricula. When not in her personal studio, Mckenzie is collaborating with creatives and academics across the Bay Area developing installations and creative platforms for discourse.
In her free time, you can almost always find Mckenzie with some sort of surfboard, ball, or book in hand.
She resides in Santa Cruz, California.
